The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

United Methodist Women members say, "I commit!"
-  my prayers.  That I will grow and renew my relationships with God and others.
-  my time.  That I will respond to human need through study, reflection and action.
-  my financial gifts.  That I will share in the global ministries of the church through United Methodist Women.
(From Response magazine, February 2013)

All persons of the Church are WELCOME at any of the United Methodist Women’s meetings.

Our God is a community-making God, and our mission together as members of United Methodist Women is creating beloved communities with women, children and youth.  “Let’s get together” calls each of us to be more authentic in this effort.
Women in the United Methodist Church come from different ethnicities, age groups, cultural backgrounds, economic situations, education levels, family make-ups and parts of the world.  United Methodist Women is no different.  The rich diversity we have as an organization expands our mission work and community.

God of love, fill us with your love so that we may be channels of your love and that we may be filled to overflowing with love.  Give us your Spirit as we seek to strengthen the bonds of love within our fellowship and to share your love in the world.  Amen.
